Class trip to the „Don Bosco Schwestern“ in Baumkirchen

On Tuesday morning, 7th of June, our class met at the train station Fritzens/Wattens. The weather was ok, it was raining a bit. But nevertheless, we walked for half an hour to get to our accommodation in Baumkirchen. It was a monastery with a big park, inside the park there was the house, where we slept. We ate and played at the monastery.
When we arrived there, our class got the keys for the rooms. Everyone immediately ran to their rooms. In our room there was one double bed and an extra one. We had a big wardrobe where we hid our sweets. After having unpacked, we went to a room where we played games. The games were about teamwork. At 12 o’clock we had lunch. The food wasn’t bad, but at home we like it better. J
We had to hand over our mobile phones at 9:30 p.m., but before that, we sang karaoke with our teacher. In the night we played card games. We had a little night light, and every time we heard something, we turned it off, because we thought it was our teacher. When we looked outside the window, we saw nuns on the roof of the other building and that scared us a little bit. However, in the morning, it turned out that it was just the stack.

The breakfast was great because we could take everything we wanted from the buffet. This day, the weather was nice and sunny, so we went to the playground and played some team games. After this, everyone made a little personal booklet into which we could write nice things about each other. At one o’clock we went back to the train station and got home.

We especially liked the nuns, because they were funny and nice. And some of them weren’t allowed to speak, but they always smiled. All in all, the trip was really cool and we can’t wait to go on the next one!  - Leonie & Sophie
